Bret Waters has been immersed in the innovation culture of Silicon Valley for his entire career. He has founded three software companies, raising both angel capital and venture capital, has run two educational non-profit organizations, and spent six years on the board of the Stanford School of Education, working to bring technology innovation to K-12 education. Today he is a consultant and an investor, and teaches entrepreneurship at Stanford University.
His volunteer work is at the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship, helping social entrepreneurs to develop, refine, and scale successful ventures that can have a positive impact in the developing world, and he has served as Chief Mentor with the European Innovation Academy, teaching Silicon Valley innovation methodology to engineering students from around the world. He received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
